The DeFelsko PosiTector Advanced gauge body is for inspectors who need additional tools to organize measurement data and prepare reports. Order BDYADV when adding or replacing an Advanced body for compatible probes. A probe is purchased separately and determines what the instrument measures.

When to choose the Advanced body

Choose Advanced when organizing inspection records and preparing reports are part of your workflow. Compare the Standard body for routine measurements and basic data recording. Specific memory, connectivity, and probe-dependent functions must match the supplied body and your selected probe.

One body platform, different inspection applications

Compatible probe families include PosiTector 6000 for coating thickness, 200 for ultrasonic coating thickness, SPG for surface profile, DPM for environmental conditions, and UTG for ultrasonic wall thickness. Selecting an Advanced body does not turn one probe family into another or add a measurement function without the appropriate probe.
